My Favourite AGATHA CHRISTIE BOOKS ~~~~~
👉 MURDER ON ORIENT EXPRESS
This book is one of the finest works of Agatha Christie. As the
name suggests, a murder is committed on a train and one of the passengers is
the culprit. Very conveniently there is also a detective on board who
immediately hops on to solve the murder. Everybody is a suspect. And everyone
has a motive to commit that murder. But who did it? The best part of the book
is the ending which is beyond imagination!
👉 THE THIRD GIRL
Three young women share a London flat. The first is an efficient
personal secretary; the second is an artist, and the third interrupts Hercule
Poirot’s breakfast of brioche and hot chocolate insisting that she is a
murderer – and then promptly disappears. Slowly, Poirot learns of the rumors
surrounding the mysterious third girl, her family – and her disappearance. Yet
hard evidence is needed before the great detective can pronounce her guilty,
innocent, or insane..

👉 THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD
It
is one of my favorite books because of its eerie ending. It is a typical work
of Agatha Christie with an obvious suspect and the actual murderer hiding in
plain sight. I would not talk much about the plot because I don’t want to spoil
your fun of reading it!
👉 FIVE LITTLE PIGS
It was an open and shut case. All the
evidence said Caroline Crale poisoned her philandering husband, a brilliant
painter. She was quickly and easily convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
Now, sixteen years later, in a posthumous letter, Mrs. Crale has assured her grown daughter that she was innocent. But instead of setting the young woman's mind at ease, the letter only raises disquieting questions. Did Caroline indeed write the truth? And if she didn't kill her husband, who did?
To find out, the Crale’s daughter asks Hercule Poirot to reopen the case.

Hercule obviously finds the murderer
and you won’t be able to guess till the end!
👉 AND THEN THERE WERE NONE
First, there were ten—a curious
assortment of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a little private island
off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire unknown to all of
them, is nowhere to be found. All that the guests have in common is a wicked
past they're unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For
each has been marked for murder.
A famous nursery rhyme is framed and
hung in every room of the mansion. And they realized that murders are occurring
as described in the rhyme, the terror mounts. One by one they fall prey. Before
the weekend is out, there will be none. Who has choreographed this dastardly
scheme? And who will be left to tell the tale? Only the dead are above
suspicion.
I have three words, Brilliant, Brilliant
and Brilliant...
NO WAIT THE BLOG ISNT OVER YET!
There are some lazy beans who don’t want to read a novel. Some try
but give up after reading 20-30 pages. But that does not mean that they can’t
enjoy the thrill of a murder mystery. For you my friend, I have the movies that
are direct adaptations to Agatha Christie’s works or quite similar to what she
writes! So, grab your popcorns and be ready to be thrilled!
👉 KNIVES OUT (2019)
This movie revolves around the murder of a wealthy novelist Harlan
Thrombey who invites all of his to his 85th birthday
party. Later that night he is found dead. The police are convinced that it was
a suicide, however, somebody had anonymously paid a private investigator to find
out the murderer.
This raises questions and suspicions
on his family members who clearly have motives and greed for money.
The added delight to the movie is Daniel Craig as the investigator
and Chris Evans whose presence makes the movie even better!
It is a must-watch and is also nominated for an academy award!
👉 MURDER MYSTERY (2019)
It is a Netflix original which
stars Jennifer Anniston and Adam Sandler. The movie is an absolute treat and
perfect amalgamation of funny and thriller.
Adam Sandler plays the role of a cop who is unable to take a gunshot and Jennifer Anniston is his wife who loves to read crime novels. Together
they go for a vacation which turns out of a cruise vacation by the mercy of a
stranger they met in the plane and eventually turns out to a crime scene. A cruise,
middle of the sea, a murder, and the usual suspects. Everyone has the motive to
kill except the couple, yet somehow, they get framed! It’s a must-watch.
👉 MURDER ON ORIENT EXPRESS (2017)
It is the adaptation of Agatha Christie’s famous novel of the same
name. just like the book, a murder is committed on a train and one is the
culprit. The added delight is Johnny Depp and the exquisite cinematography. It's
great to see your favorite book coming to life!
👉 CROOKED HOUSE (2017)
It is an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel of the
same name. Charles, a detective, is called to solve a murder
case. He finds that the victim is his former lover's grandfather and that most
of the evidence point towards her being a potential suspect.
👉 DEATH ON NILE (1978)
It is a British film based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name. A
Belgian sleuth has a set of murder suspects on a boat in the Nile after a rich
heiress and a few others are killed. Will he be able to find the culprit before
they reach port?
The good news is there is a remake coming out of this movie and hopefully
this year! Until then, watch this old one and enjoy it!!
