A TELENOVELA…..OF SORTS!

It has all the drama!

There is a girl named Roselina Solano Villanueva, but let’s call her Rose, for convenience! She is an intelligent, sorted woman who knows everything and is righteous and extremely moral. She is next to God in terms of being forgiving and kind. She lives a simple life with her simple family in a simple house in a simple town. She doesn’t wish for wealth or fame (Like I said, very simple). But life has other plans for her... What are they? You ask I will tell you briefly!  

She goes to a ballroom dance, loses a sandal and the prince comes looking for her and they live happily ever after, no wait that’s Cinderella! So, what happens? To know that, we must walk back a bit. Rose is an extremely talented dancer, writer, singer, and cook. Without putting in any effort or going through any professional training she does everything perfectly! Other than all the talents prevalent in human history and she also has some new ones like Kickbox yoga, it is a new art form discovered by Rose (Like I said, very talented). She is loved by everyone she knows. Despite all this talent and love she isn’t rich, crazy right? That’s because she isn’t seeking money or possessions. She is a nurse, a dog walker, and works at an NGO that supports the elderly. Isn’t she the best?

On a typical Wednesday, she gets ready to go to work and says goodbye to her mother and reminds her to take her medicines. She reaches her hospital and finds out that she has to tend to an additional patient today since her fellow nurse (also her friend) was on sick leave. She couldn’t say no, because why would she? She never says No when somebody needs her help. Her new patient is an old man, a very old man who is suffering from high blood pressure and loneliness. She greets him as she enters the ward and he gives her a brief smile. She can read his sadness as nobody from his family came to visit him.

“My son is on his way”, he says defensively almost as if he could read her thoughts. She says ok, that’s great. She monitors his blood pressure, gives him the medicines, and leaves him alone, again.

Rose enjoyed her half-hour break by eating her lunch in a quiet place just outside her workplace. She likes to have quiet lunches. It gives her more room to think about her future, which is very certain to her! Work, Earn Money, Marry, Kids, Death. But unfortunately, she didn’t know where to find love or money. She looks at her watch, almost time to go back. She gulps her coffee and leaves the place to go back to work.

She gets back to the hospital and is confused with all the hustle around her, she rushes to the reception and her fellow colleagues tell her that the old man, the one with blood pressure and loneliness has died. She was socked, she just met him and he was absolutely fine!   

In the next moment, a nurse came to fetch her and took her to the old man’s room. Everybody was staring at her, she was confused and asked them what had happened? The doctor handed her a note. She read and it said,

The nurse who came in here to give me medicines and treat me actually killed me! She gave me medicine with poison. Her name is Rose!

She was confused and shocked even more than before now! How the hell did he write this note, while he was dying? It is obviously some misunderstanding! Is someone trying to frame her! And the major question that she has is, how the hell did the old man find out that she poisoned him?

Let’s back up a little now, Rose knew that the old man was admitted to this hospital for high Blood Pressure and purposely suggested her friend should take a sick day so she could poison him! She had it all planned, she would use a little pinch of a made-up chemical compound that could not be detected in the autopsy report! She is a nurse for the love of God, she is well aware of all such compounds. Anyway, she stole a pinch of the compound from the lab of the hospital and put it in his medicine. She was effortless and flawless with her murder.

But what about all the righteous stuff, you ask. Well, come on! Are you seriously naïve enough to believe that someone can be so good?  

I am confused now. But why did she kill the old man, you ask? I have no clue, even though I am the narrator. Well you tell me!
