List of Things I just suck At!

Ever since the lockdown started people are busy exploring their creative sides. Many have found their creative bones and many others enhanced on skills they already possessed. Drawn by social pressure or the pressures of Instagram, I repeatedly tried to find my creative bone. After four months of trying different things, I proudly present to you the things I suck at; the things that I would never ever try to do for the sake of humanity and for sake of my family’s pride!

Here are they—

Cooking –

though I love to eat, I suck at making food. I realize that it makes me the least desirable bride ever, but that’s how it is. It’s not that I didn’t try. I tried cooking a bunch of things like coffee and okay, I didn’t try at all. Mostly because I hate looking at recipes and try to go freestyle which ends up not as good as I imagine. I can, however, handle the menial kitchen tasks like dicing the onions and I can slice paneer to form cute little cubes. So, I am proud to state that my skills in the kitchen are that of a chopping machine. I am the fruit and vegetable cutter. But you know what, if nobody chopped the raw material, you wouldn’t have anything to eat. Yes, I suck at cooking, but I can chop and I can be a serial killer but I choose to be better than that, every day. So who is the sucker now?

Painting –

painting is the most beautiful way of presenting your creative side to the world. Those who can paint well are blessed. The first time I knew I couldn’t paint was when I was in 2nd or 3rd standard and drew a man with a very large nose and called it my father’s portrait. From that point on my dad has been a bit angry with me.

Anyway, to give up the fear of painting, I tried painted (or drawing or sketching, whatever it’s called). And it sucked! Now I know what most of you would say, “Don’ give up on your first try”. But sometimes you suck so bad that you should give up on the first try, at least that is what Shakespeare said. And also, its not my first attempt, I also drew when I was little, remember?

Singing –

to be honest I knew it from the first time I sang that I suck at singing. I just don’t have a good voice. And also, what I am about to say next might shock you, but I don’t like listening to music that much. I can listen to songs once in a day, most times not even once in a day. That’s is just how I am, I have learned to embrace my flaws. Sometime I do sing, in the bathroom and I am very appreciated by my audience, the shampoo bottles (what did you think, pervs). To all the guys with a guitar on social media, most of the time we like your videos without even listening to it.

Voicing my opinion on social media –

with a lot going around in the world, I go through a ton of feelings on a daily basis and I have opinions. I have opinions about China, celebrities, star kids, famous dogs of Instagram and not to forget everything on Netflix. But do I voice them on social media? Should I tell the world that I don’t like China either but that doesn’t mean that I will break my phone. You know what bothers me the most the fact that Netflix doesn’t stream ‘the office’ anymore and are shoving crappy shows on my face. I don’t want to watch ‘Space Force’, I want to watch Friends over and over and over until the day I die.

Never mind, I suck the most at voicing my opinion on social media. Because I don’t think it is a place for emotional, sensitive, slightly psychopathic people who care about little things. Therefore, I pledge to live in a state of denial and only post hilarious stuff on social media like ‘who should be laughed at for doing something stupid’ and memes. I hope you guys do the same because let’s face nobody cares about what we think or say or tweet.

Space Force- It's actually good! Thanks for forcing it on me, Netflix

Headstand –

seriously are you kidding me?

While I suck at so many things I am good at one thing, you understand what I mean right 😉 (stop being perverts).
