Aaah it is that time of the year again when everybody dresses up and goes to various public places, sneak up on others, and beat the hell out of some poor couples! Yep, it’s Valentine’s and that’s how it is done in India. Named after Saint Valentine, a catholic priest who lived in Rome during the 3rd Century, Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, friendship, and admiration. According to one of the legends, when marriages were outlawed for young men by the then Emperor Claudius II, realizing the injustice, Saint Valentine defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers secretly.
I could not help but notice how most people actually turn up to be disappointed on this day other than of course those who beat couples. The disappointment is majorly the product of not being able to find the perfect date or a date at all. Well, I am your little cupid and I am here to shoot you with my love arrow!
Some would say women are a quite uptight and emotional when it comes to dating, I don’t know who they are but they are right! This blog tells you precisely what women want and expect out of their dates so you guys (or gals) can tailor your plans to woo your date!
Being the most unromantic soul on this planet, these opinions are not mine! Because my idea of a romantic date is to not go at all but we will talk about my commitment issues in some other blog. So, here are the opinion of some incredible women on what they want and expect from a guy they wish to date.

Well, yaa but also intelligence, transparency, sense of humor, honesty and compassion. It is never the looks that make a girl fall in love! It’s not Money as well! It is simply the way you treat her; be kind, considerate and trustworthy!

A major turn off that can make your date hate you is when you are being disrespectful, mean, offensive, and boastful. The smartphones are a great help to us but they were invented to be used in the toilet, not on your dates. Don’t be mean and please don’t be SEXIST! Another major pointer for all the ones staring at other girls while on a date, DON’T DO IT, women see everything and we see the side glances for other girls; absolutely unchivalrous!
What makes a date special for a woman is a good conversation coupled with some humor and fun. I know that it is not possible to share a lot of likes and common discussion topics with someone especially if it's your first date! However, what you can do the least is to know the person you are going to date and listen to them and show interest in what she is saying. A distracted date is equal to a No date! Now if you are thinking why should I put in so much effort for a girl, do yourself and herself a little favor, and don’t go on the date please because “love” or whatever it is that Shakespeare talked about begins with killing all the prejudice.

ROMANTIC SONG!
The winner of the all-time favorite romantic song is “Pehla Nasha” from Jo Jeeta Who Seekandar. Other loved romantic songs are “Thinking Out Loud” and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran; Frank Sinatra's Strangers in the Night “Manmarziyan” from the movie Lootera; “Subhanallah” from the movie Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani; How deep is your love - Bee Gees and “Pehla pehla pyar”. Sing or dance to these lovely tracks to make your date more special. If you are too shy to do that, play it for your date on your phone or in your car or the cab! Too shy to play on the date then just WhatsApp her the daamn song!
STEAL A KISS!
Nearly 40% of women prefer kissing on the first date. You have to be confident enough and obviously judge the vibe and the energy before going for a kiss. However, many prefer kissing on the 4th or 5th date.
If you feel too awkward or you sense your date is getting awkward, a cute peck on the cheeks is not bad at all but nothing beats a forehead kiss!

The three most important elements of buying a gift for a woman are; ONE, it is not something you buy for yourself, TWO, it takes the person down an emotional journey and THREE, that journey is on a ship, SHOWMANSHIP!
Almost all my beautiful ladies want just a simple gift, the gift of time! Spending some quality time with your date is the most precious gift you can give. However, you can pair up your time with some roses or a bag and a book (for book lovers obviously). In case I forgot to mention Don’t forget CHOCOLATES! There are a few women who prefer something personal not just roses well for that you have to know her well and that is more of a relationship kinda gift. Good luck finding that gift!
Lastly, there is only one thing I want to say Not all perfect first dates lead to a good relationship and neither do all bad first dates end in not finding love! Finding love is just dumb luck and there are 7 billion people on this planet and one of them is going to climb up on a moon for you! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
