TOSS A COIN, MAKE A WISH

How many of you believe in destiny? People say that everything happens for a reason and you get what you are destined for in life. Even Mr. Oogway said in Kungfu Panda, “One often meets his destiny on the path he takes to avoid it.” Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. If everything is written and pre-decided by a supreme force of the universe, then why bother? Why all the hustle to change things, to achieve something, to be more than what we are and shall be?

It is believed we all have a unique purpose in this world. If we all do have a unique purpose and we are meant to fulfill it, then why are we constantly trying to find the purpose of our lives? We are living in a paradox. If I run for my purpose, is it destiny, fate or just my actions? Or are we so accustomed by the rules of the societies that we often dodge our destiny and be the part of the world where telling us apart or calling ourselves unique doesn’t make sense anymore?

Some also believe in the multiverse. They say that there are infinite universes which also implies that there are infinite versions of me in these Universes. What if my destiny meets me in one universe and it is not this one here, the one where I am writing this blog? For every question I ask, there are more questions and no conclusive answers. Then why bother?
This little life I have as a contrast to the multitude of the universe and space, is too petite to be spent on finding answers, pleasing people or chasing impossibilities. Therefore, I decided to have faith in the unknown instead of the fear of the unknown. The unknown will do me good; it would be for my well-being. So, with faith in my heart, I tossed a coin in the river for some good luck and for the universe to work its wonder on me. The coin will pass with the flowing water to the depths of the ocean and would remain there for more years than there would be in my life. I let the stars, the planets, the ocean, and the moon decide my destiny for I am too busy living!
Next time you sight a shooting star or have birthday candles to blow don't lose the golden opportunity and make a wish without asking too many questions!
