A tale of Quarantine: The virus awakens!

To be Narrated by James Earl Jones (as soon as I get rich)

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away, the most powerful animal species the Homo sapiens who defeated the mightiest predators to became the only ruling species on the planet of Earth were on the verge of collapse due to a tiny organism which causes cough and cold. The entire race of humans is under the predicament of this pandemic while the birds, the cows, the cats, and the beloved domesticated little creatures the dogs are joyously enjoying but are also puzzled. For many, it is a civil war against that creature. While many are fighting against the virus, others are locked in their houses avoiding the virus, fighting with each other.

Amidst this crisis was a family living together enduring the madness each one of them has to offer!

IN THE WORDS OF ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF THAT FAMILY

Like some people on Instagram, if I were to say that this quarantine lockdown has taught me a great deal about life, then I would be lying. Locked up in my home for more than, I don’t know like a million years, I have learned absolutely nothing (that I didn’t already know)!

The silly thing is that 2020 was supposed to be good, ravishing, exciting, rewarding, and gratifying. However, it turned out to be boring, a little more boring and then a lifestyle of boring.

2020 is like that person who seems really dreamy and whom you instantly get a crush on. But when you get to know them better all your feelings just get murdered, one conversation at a time. This has happened to me a lot. I get a crush almost instantaneously and it dies just like that too. The hell is filled with my feelings for some good-looking guys who were actually wierdos. So much for the phrase, the first impression is the last impression? The problem is you need to have good 2nd, 3rd, 5th and so on ‘Good Impressions’. That is why we shouldn’t pretend because we can’t pretend for eternity! Maybe I did learn something.

If any of you encounters that virus, whom I don’t even want to name anymore, let me know because I want to beat the crap out of it!

A little glimpse of everything that is happening around me is nothing very special. The four of us (dad, mom, me and my sis) are quite comfortable with each other’s yelling now. To know more details about we used to drive each other crazy read;  A tale of Quarantine at the Joshi's!

My mother has become very tech-savvy, she knows how to video call on WhatsApp and she does that, a lot, without earphones. It is a treat to the ears! She is also fond of cooking now which is not good for the family’s cholesterol levels.

And my dad is one step away from becoming a monk. He would be the ‘Monk who sold his Ford’. He is working from home and is also somewhat slipping towards enlightenment. He has mentioned going to the Himalayas a couple of times, I don’t think interstate travel is allowed yet. There is one thing I want to say to people who plan on going to the Himalayas, the cell reception there is quite poor, use landlines.

My sister is, well she is doing something. What is she up to! I don’t really pay attention to her. I recall her attending her online lectures. And by attending, I mean sleeping, literally sleeping on her bed. It makes me so jealous, we didn’t get this opportunity. We had to sleep with our eyes open in the lecture hall and we didn’t have a comfortable bed! This is so unfair; the students today have so many additional benefits (other than jobs, of course). Yaa you all are screwed, I suggest entrepreneurship!

And for me, I am doing the usual. Instagram, Netflix, guilt, and repeat. I also read a lot, the memes of course. They are funny and make me laugh so hard. I would like to thank all the people out there creating content to make us laugh, keeping us engaged, and in denial about the severity of the situation. Sometimes it is hard to understand the memes when you don’t know the context. For that purpose, you must be prepared to watch videos and roasts and other valuable content on YouTube and sometimes also on Tik Tok. Most people make fun of Tik Tok but they do watch videos roasting them thereby making them popular. Anyways, it is a life, not good, not bad, just life!

***************************************************************************

It is chilling and frightening to hear what the people of Earth are going through. They are subject to a pandemic and on top of that, the Tik Tokers are becoming popular. Who is to say what would be the future of Earth? Will everyone download Tik Tok? Would it take over Bollywood? Would Tik tokers win Oscars in the future? Who is to say? Amongst all this, the relocation of mankind is a must; preferably to Asgard. This fight can be won only if the Homo sapiens take immediate and stern measures. The repercussions would be severe, everybody could be infected by the Tik Tok virus. The future of mankind is somewhat bleak and uncertain! We can just hope and pray!

What about the coronavirus though, Mr. Jones?

Oh, That should be fine, mankind will definitely survive that!

May the force be with you.
