5 Authors I follow these days: Book Recommendations!
Hola people!
Life is the same as it was in March, but the real question is how different it would have been if there was no pandemic. Well other than the fact that we would be out of the homes and out of our heads ignoring the meaning of life and why we exist, it would be pretty much the same. Anyways we will get there soon, living without meaning.
If you know me then you probably know that I love to read. I am a book puppy because I am too cute to be called a worm. From the past two years, I read very few books, actually just one or two. The excuse being an MBA and a busy schedule. But lately, I am back on the readers' track, consuming books like oxygen and it feels so good.
Therefore, I am going to share the list of my current favorite authors as we know sharing is caring. I wouldn't read awesome books without telling you all.

NUMBER ONE-----
I have started reading and writing poetry and what can I say I fell in love. I am in love with poetry. Rupi Kaur is definitely one of the best poets of our generation. She writes magnificently. Both her books, 'Milk and Honey' as well as 'Sun and her Flowers' are amazing. Definitely recommended even if you don't read poetry or don't read at all. They aren't hard to interpret like the Shakespear's sonnets but are simple pretty words stringed together that are sure to make you smile.

While we are at the topic of poetry, I wrote one too (shared one, wrote many), do tell me how you liked it if you haven't read it already. Directions~ A poem
NUMBER TWO-----
Johann Hari is a swiss-Scottish writer of the book 'Lost Connections'. In his book, he uncovers the causes of depression and anxiety and the solutions to overcome them. To be honest, I haven't read his book yet but I watched his lectures and Ted Talks on YouTube and he is simply brilliant. He traveled across the globe and talked to leading psychologists and therapists to understand modern-day depression. The causes mostly boil down to lack of community spirit and togetherness in humans these days, which I guess most of us would concede.
I highly recommend you all to read his books and listen to his Ted Talks.
NUMBER THREE-----
I don't think this author needs an introduction. He is the author of New York Times bestsellers Blink, Outliers, and The Tipping Point. I read Blink a while ago and currently, I am reading Outliers. In this book, he talks about successful people and the opportunities that are presented to them making their journey fruitful. It is honest and a great book.
My favorite quotes by Malcolm Gladwell
"We have, as human beings, a storytelling problem. We're a bit too quick to come up with explanations for things we don't really have an explanation for."
"There can be as much value in the blink of an eye as in months of rational analysis."
NUMBER FOUR-----
Elif Shafak is a Turkish-British writer. To be honest, I haven't read her books yet, I started reading 'Forty Rules of Love' but was interrupted by my 'busy schedule'. She is highly recommended by my sister and I would be on the journey to read some of her books as soon as possible.
On my reading list from Elif Shafak,
Forty Rules of Love
10 minutes 38 seconds
NUMBER FIVE-----
Throwing one more poet your way. He is a Canadian poet who gained popularity through Instagram. Again his work is simple, fresh, and beautiful. I loved reading his book 'Love Her Wild'. If you have a knack for poetry, I recommend it. If you have a knack for reading beautiful quotes and posts then follow him on Instagram.
Another interesting fact about him is that writes anonymously and has never shown himself publicly. Now that's a mystery every poet should have!
I hope you liked my list of authors and I am very much interested in knowing your favorite authors too!!
Great list
